Manage volunteer leaders

View, invite, and manage admins, captains, and vice-captains in your SupporterBase

This guide covers how to view, invite, and manage leaders in SupporterBase, including admins, captains, and vice-captains.

Viewing admins

  1. Navigate to Users > Admins in the left-hand menu.
  2. You will see a list of all admins, including full name, email address, and notification preferences (toggle via checkbox).
  3. To remove an admin, click the red rubbish icon.

Inviting new admins

Admin-only action

Only existing admins can invite new admins.

  1. Navigate to Users > Invite New Admin (or via the top navigation).
  2. Enter the new admin's email address.
  3. Click Send Invitation.

The new admin will receive an email invite to create an account and log in.

Viewing captains and vice-captains

  • Go to Users > Captains and Vice-captains.
  • See a full list with name, email, role, and group(s).
  • Available options: edit details, resend invitation, promote to admin, or remove user.
  • On your group profile, click Group Leaders.
  • A pop-up will show all group leaders, their role, and email address.

Inviting new captains and vice-captains

  1. Go to Users > Invite New Captain or Invite New Vice-captain.
  2. Enter the new leader's email address.
  3. Select the supporter group they should lead.
  4. Click Send Invitation.
  1. On your group profile, click Manage Leaders.
  2. Click the green Add Group Leader button.
  3. Enter the email address and select the proposed role (captain or vice-captain).
  4. Submit the request. It will go to an admin for approval.
  5. Once approved, the new leader receives an invitation email.

Vice-captains cannot add new leaders

Only admins and captains can invite or propose new group leaders.

Approving new captains and vice-captains

When a captain proposes a new leader, the request is sent to an admin for approval. Once approved, the invitation email is sent automatically.

Resending invitations

If an invitation email is lost:

  1. Navigate to Users > Admins or Users > Captains and Vice-captains.
  2. Locate the person (or search).
  3. Click the mail icon to resend the invitation.
